So during the current election cycle, we should forget "Hope and Change" and instead swoon over "Economic Fairness."
Why couldn't we, rather, be treated to "Executive Competence" and do with far fewer speeches and more governing to tackle our pressing real-world problems. But certainly it is far more difficult to deal with problems that require painful choices than it is to mouth platitudes about "Economic Fairness," whatever that is.
The last time an administration in Washington worried over "Economic Fairness," we were introduced to the idea of lowered mortgage loan standards so that low-income citizens could buy homes. We all now know, too well, the outcome of that idea.
