One lane of southbound N.C. 55 in Holly Springs will be closed from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday so a crew can work on the median, according to the N.C. Department of Transportation.
The lane closure will be between Technology Drive and Old Smithfield Road.
NCDOT said the crews will be preparing the median for installation of a concrete barrier.

A state program, started in 1989, would pave every road in North Caroilna. It has cost hundreds of millions of dollars and now will upgrade roads that serve few homes.
