Two arrested in Wake on marijuana charges

Two Wendell men have been arrested and charged with possession of more than 1 pound of marijuana.

Konstantinos Velissariou, 29, of 518 N Pine St. in Wendell, N.C., was arrested Tuesday. He is charged with two counts of possessing marijuana, according to his arrest warrant.

Velissariou had approximately two pounds of marijuana, according to the Wake County Sheriff's Office. His bond was set at $25,000. He recently finished a year-long probation after being charged with DWI in September 2010.

John Velissariou, 23, also of 518 N Pine St., is being charged with possession with intent to sell approximately one pound of marijuana. An immigration investigation was submitted for Velissariou, who is from Greece, but no federal detention order has been filed for him at this point. He also faces a bond of $25,000.
