Union signs Colombian forward Pajoy

The Philadelphia Union announced on Wednesday that the club has signed Colombian forward Lionard Pajoy.

Pajoy joins the Union from Colombian side Itagui Ditaires and he is coming off the best season of his career in 2011 as he tallied 13 goals in 27 starts.

The 30-year-old began his professional career in 2004 with Cortulua, and has played with a number of teams in his native country, including Atletico Huila, Boyaca Chico, Cucuta Deportivo, Deportivo Cali and Millionarios prior to his loan spell at Itagui Ditaires.

The 6-foot-1 Pajoy has amassed 47 goals in 215 matches and will join the club for preseason training having already received his P-1 Visa.
