Fourth person arrested in marijuana bust

A woman who owns a house in southern Wake County where police discovered 24 marijuana plants and 4.75 pounds of clippings was arrested today, joining three others already charged with growing weed there.

Police charged Amanda Leigh Cashwell, 31, with manufacturing marijuana, possession with intent to distribute, and maintaining a dwelling house at 10105 Joe Leach Road used for keeping and selling a controlled substance.

David Allen Prowse, 28, and Joshua Patrick Bays, 22, were arrested on the same charges Wednesday. Jeremy Wayne Kearney, 28, was charged with manufacturing and possession with intent to distribute Wednesday, as well.

According to city property records, Cashwell owns the house, located outside the city limits, a few miles south of Garner. Prowse and Bays live there as well, according to their arrest warrants. Kearney lives a few miles down the road.

Bays remains in jail on $7,500 bond, while the other three have posted bond. Cashwell was released Thursday night on $26,000 bond. Prowse and Kearney posted $7,500 and $5,000 bonds, respectively.
