John Bohannon scored 16 points off the bench as the Miners of Texas-El Paso picked up a 64-55 win over the Tulsa Golden Hurricane in Conference USA action at the Don Haskins Center.

Michael Perez scored 14 points and Julian Washburn 13 for the Miners (11-13, 4-6 C-USA) as they snapped a four-game slide.

Tulsa (14-10, 7-3) was paced by Jordan Clarkson with 16 points, adding five rebounds and five assists, followed by Scottie Haralson and Eric McClellan with 13 and 12 points, respectively, as the team had a seven-game win streak halted.

The Golden Hurricane shot just 8-of-25 from the floor in the first half, sending the visitors to a 30-23 deficit at the break.

In the second half Tulsa converted just 35.5 percent from the floor and 8- of-16 at the free-throw line, allowing UTEP to claim the comfortable nine- point home win.

UTEP, which led from start to finish, outscored the visitors at the charity stripe by a 20-11 margin.
