Jesse Perry scored 17 points and pulled in 11 rebounds to lead the Arizona Wildcats over the Colorado Buffaloes, 71-57, in a Pac-12 conference tilt at the McKale Center.
Solomon Hill also posted a double-double for the Wildcats (17-8, 8-4 Pac-12) with 16 points and 14 rebounds, while Kyle Fogg added 15 points.
For the Buffaloes (16-8, 8-4) Andre Roberson had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Carlon Brown finished with 11 points and Austin Dufault and Spencer Dinwiddie each chipped in 10 points.
Both teams shot 40 percent from the field and both made three three-pointers in the opening half. An 11-5 advantage at the free-throw line gave the Wildcats the 34-28 lead at the break.
Arizona improved its shooting after halftime, connecting on 47.8 percent of their field goals in the second half, while Colorado struggled, making only 35.5 percent. Neither team shot the three-pointer well in the second half, with the Buffaloes making only 1-of-9 and the Wildcats missing all five of their attempts from beyond the arc. Again, the free-throw line provided the big difference, with Arizona again outscoring Colorado, this time 15-4, as the Wildcats secured the victory and split the season series.
Arizona finished the night outscoring Colorado 26-9, from the free-throw line. The Buffaloes outscored the Wildcats in the paint, 32-26, but were outrebounded, 43-31.
