Eddie Miller scored 24 points to help the UC Davis Aggies snap their 18-game losing streak and pick up a 79-71 victory over the Cal State Northridge Matadors in Big West Conference action at The Pavilion.

Josh Ritchart contributed a double-double of 16 points for UC Davis (2-21, 1-10 Big West), which also picked up its first win in conference play of the season. Tyler Les also had 16 points and Paolo Mancasola finished with 12 points and six assists.

Josh Greene paced the Matadors (6-16, 2-9) with 21 points and four assists. Stephan Hicks netted 17 points, Stephen Maxwell added 10 points, and they grabbed eight rebounds apiece. The defeat was the third-straight for Cal State Northridge.

The Matadors held a narrow 34-32 edge at halftime after they shot 45.2 percent from the floor including 5-of-10 from three-point range in the opening period. UC Davis connected on 44 percent of its field goals in the first half.

Cal State Northridge managed to make just 36.4 percent of its shots from the field in the second half. The Aggies took control by knocking down 5-of-11 from beyond the arc and 16-of-17 from the charity stripe in the final 20 minutes.

UC Davis converted its opponents 13 turnovers into 21 points, while the Matadors scored 11 points off of 11 turnovers.
