A San Diego judge ruled that a lawsuit filed by PETA seeking to free five SeaWorld orcas could not be brought under the anti-slavery 13th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution because the amendment pertains to humans, not animals.

Maybe PETA should approach Citizens United for help - if it could get personhood granted to corporations, how hard could it be to do the same for orcas?
