Regarding your Feb. 3 article "Feral felines spared; future policy unclear"), it seems that advocates of trap, neuter and release are placing the welfare of feral cats above other animals, particularly wildlife. Free-ranging cats kill rabbits, squirrels, quail and songbirds in large numbers. Releasing cats anywhere to fend for themselves is just a death sentence for other animals. Apparently cat lovers who advocate this policy place cats in a hierarchy above wildlife. I would place feral cats at the bottom of the list.
