Drewey Leighton Harrison, 81, died Thursday evening, February 9, 2012 at his home. He was born in Granville County, the son of the late Ottice and Swannie Harrison and was a member of Stony Hill Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon, February 12, 2012 at Stony Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Harrison and the Rev. Jamie Dew officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Harrison is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Flossie W. Harrison; sons, Danny Harrison and wife, Jan, and Tony Harrison and wife, Judy, all of Raleigh; grandson, Nick Harrison and wife, Michelle, of Apex; sister, Janice Matheny of Raleigh; many nieces and nephews; special employee and friend, Chris Freer of Franklinton. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Cora Ann Davis and Doris Bailey.
