From staff reports

A 15-year-old Virginia girl is considered an endangered runaway and my travel to the Triangle, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children said.

Kelsey Ann Gaioni, 5-foot-3 with blond hair and gray eyes, was last seen Wednesday, according to the alert issued at the request of the Spotsylvania County, Va., sheriff's office.

The alert said Gaioni "may travel to Clayton, N.C.," but did not say why. Spotsylvania investigators were unavailable to explain why she is listed as "endangered" or why she might come to Clayton.

Authorities asked that anyone with information about Gaioni contact the Missing Children center at 800-843-5678 or the Spotsylvania sheriff's office at 540-582-7116.
