A march organized by members of Occupy Charlotte will take place in uptown today.

Earlier this week Occupy Charlotte held a news conference outside the Government Center to talk about "DNC Fever." They believe city officials are more concerned with the Democratic National Convention than the well-being of residents.

During the news conference the protesters also expressed their concerns about the impact of a new ordinance banning them from camping on the grounds of Old City Hall.

Today's march begins at the Old City Hall Lawn on Trade Street at 1 p.m.
