Marjorie Haydon Martin, 94, of Hartford died Saturday February 11, 2012 at Professional Care Health and Rehab Center in Hartford. She was born in Nicholasville, KY to the late Frank Taylor and Madge Farra Haydon. She was a salesperson at Belk’s Department Store, a former member of Forrest Hills Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC and a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford K. Martin, a daughter-Sandra Nicholoson and a brother-Frank Haydon.
Survivors include 3 sons: Douglas (Phyllis) Martin of Utica, KY, David (Julie) Martin of Pinehurst, NC and Joel (Carole) Martin of Asheville, NC; 3 brothers: James T. Haydon of Mullins, SC, Gibbs Hayson of Apple Valley, MN, Thomas Hayson of Bluffton, SC; 1 sister: Juanita Baker of Nicholasville, KY; 8 Grandchildren: Edie Morse, Matthew Martin, Benjamin Martin, Ellen Porter, Andrew Martin, Farra Wilson, Anna Martin, Clint Martin; 10 Great Grandchildren.
Services are 1:00PM Monday at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Dr. Glenn Armstrong officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery near Pleasant Ridge.
