The improving Detroit Pistons shoot for a season-high fifth straight win when they take on the lowly Washington Wizards in the middle contest of a three-game homestand.

Greg Monroe recorded 18 points and 11 rebounds as the Pistons rolled over the New Jersey Nets, 109-92, in the back end of a home-and-home series at The Palace on Friday. Monroe, an emerging star has recorded a double-double in four straight games and now has 15 on the season.

Jonas Jerebko added 20 points off the bench, while Rodney Stuckey had 19 for the Pistons, who also topped the Nets in New Jersey, 99-92, on Wednesday.

"It's just always fun to win, so hopefully we can continue doing this," said Stuckey. "When the ball is moving, that is when we are at our best."

Detroit, which will finish its residency against San Antonio, is now 6-8 at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

The Wizards, who are starting a five-game road trip tonight, have lost two straight, including Friday's 106-89 setback to Miami in D.C.

JaVale McGee scored 24 points and pulled down 13 rebounds, while Nick Young added 22 points in that one for the Wizards, who have dropped six of their last seven games overall. Trevor Booker had 13 points and 15 boards, while John Wall scored 15 with 10 helpers for the Wizards.

"That is a tough team to play over there," said Young. "You can learn a lot playing teams like that."

Detroit has won seven straight home games over Washington, which is a dismal 1-10 as the visitor on the season. The Wiz haven't won at The Palace since Jan. 26, 2007.

The Wizards will also face Portland, the LA Clippers, Utah and Phoenix on their trek.
