The Houston Rockets will shoot for a fourth straight win tonight in Oakland against the Golden State Warriors.

The Rockets improved to 3-1 on a six-game road trip Thursday in Phoenix when Luis Scola scored 16 points and was aided by a strong bench effort as Houston downed the Suns, 96-89.

All five Rockets bench players who entered the game reached double figures, led by Patrick Patterson's 14 points and Chase Budinger's 12. Kyle Lowry scored 14 in a starting role for the Rockets.

"Those guys (the bench players) have been amazing," said Lowry. "They are playing unbelievable right now."

Houston, which will finish its trek in Memphis on Tuesday, is 6-8 as the visitor on the year.

The Warriors, who are kicking off a three-game homestand tonight, snapped a two-game skid on Thursday in Denver when Stephen Curry poured in a season-high 36 points, including six three-pointers, as Golden State downed the slumping Nuggets, 109-101, at Pepsi Center.

Klay Thompson added 19 points off the bench, Dorell Wright had 15 points and Monta Ellis, one game after scoring a career-best 48 points, donated 14 points on 6-of-14 shooting. David Lee also reached double figures with 12 points and eight rebounds for Golden State.

"It was a great performance by him (Curry)," said Golden State head coach Mark Jackson. "Just a spectacular night."

Houston has won 12 of its last 13 against the Warriors, including six of seven at Oracle Arena.
