Two students from Stage Door Dance Productions earned titles in the Carolina Dance Masters Fall Convention and Solo Title Competition in Greensboro.

Parker Garrison, 8, from Raleigh was named 2012 Master Dance of North Carolina after performing a tap routine to the song "King of New York" from the movie "Newsies."

Trevor Daw, 15, from Raleigh was named 2012 Teen Mister Dance of North Carolina after performing a tap/hip-hop routine titled "Get Happy."

Their titles were determined by scores from an interview; technical classes in jazz, ballet, tap, and acrobatics; and their solo talent performance.

Parker, the son of Josh and Donna Garrison, and Trevor, the son of Lisa Hunt, next will compete in the Dance Masters of America National Competition in July.
