Lejeune-based Marine killed

TRENTON, N.J. -- A Marine based at Camp Lejeune is the latest New Jersey resident killed in combat operations in Afghanistan.

The Department of Defense says Lance Cpl. Osbrany Montes De Oca, 20, of North Arlington, in Bergen County, died Friday in the Helmand province.

Further details on his death were not immediately disclosed Monday.

Montes De Oca was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, based at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina.
