KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Meighan Simmons scored a season-high 25 points and No. 13 Tennessee routed No. 7 Kentucky 91-54 on Monday night.
Shekinna Stricklen added 18 points for the Vols, who shot 59 percent while holding Kentucky to 33.3 percent.
Tennessee (18-7, 9-3) never trailed. Simmons hit consecutive 3-pointers to make it 10-2.
The Wildcats (21-4, 10-2) pulled within 21-16 on a steal by Azia Bishop and a transition layup by Bernisha Pinkett with 9 minutes, 20 seconds left in the first half, but they wouldn't get any closer.
Vicki Baugh scored on a putback and was fouled by Bishop. She missed the free throw but charged through the lane and converted the rebound that put Tennessee ahead 29-18.
Those baskets launched a 14-0 run by the Lady Vols across a 3:21 stretch. During that time, Kentucky missed two free throws and two shots from the field and turned the ball over four times.
Tennessee led 46-28 at halftime after shooting 60 percent. Both teams had 10 turnovers, but the Lady Vols scored eight more points off giveaways than the Wildcats.
Tennessee's lead reached 40 points with 4:37 to play.
No. 2 Connecticut 73, Oklahoma 55: Tiffany Hayes scored 23 points, Bria Hartley added 20 and the Huskies (24-2) beat host Oklahoma(16-8) for their 12th straight victory.
Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis and Stefanie Dolson contributed 10 points apiece, and Connecticut built a commanding lead in the first 7 minutes before withstanding a series of rallies by Oklahoma.
Minnesota 64, No. 16 Nebraska 58: Kionna Kellogg's basket broke a tie with 1:01 left as the hosting Gophers (13-14, 5-8 Big Ten) beat the Cornhuskers (19-5, 8-4).
Rachel Banham led Minnesota with 21 points, including three 3-pointers. Kiara Buford added 16 points.
St. Augustine's 58, Fayetteville State 55: Senior center Keyona Bryant tied the modern school career scoring record at St. Aug's (12-11, 7-6 CIAA) with 12 points in a win over visiting Fayetteville State. Bryant has 1,522 points, which ties former standout Valicia Brown. DaQuondra Cuthbertson scored 13 points for the Broncos (10-12, 4-9).
Kansas' Davis out for season: Leading scorer Carolyn Davis will miss the remainder of the season after tearing her ACL and dislocating her left knee in a loss to Kansas State.
The 6-3 junior averaged 17.5 points and scored 20 points eight times this season.
