It's hard to argue with Drivin' N' Cryin', Kevn Kinney's loud-and-proud rock band, which has been rocking since the mid-'80s. But danged if Kinney's terrific new solo album "A Good Country Mile" (Almost Loaded Records) doesn't work in some fascinatingly cool new wrinkles. Backed by Anton Fier's all-star band the Golden Palominos, "Miles" is about as psychedelic as Kinney has ever sounded - without diluting the smash-mouth fury the man is famous for. He'll play it live Wednesday at Chapel Hill's Local 506. Showtime is 9 p.m. and tickets are $10 advance, $15 at the door. See local506.com for details.
