Taylor - McAllister

Dr. and Mrs. Russell Greenway McAllister, Jr., of Pinehurst announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathryn Ann, to The Reverend Samuel Johnson Taylor, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Billy Taylor, of Raleigh.

Miss McAllister is a graduate of the Durham Academy in Durham, NC, and Princeton University, in New Jersey. She is a member of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity. She made her debut at the Debutante Cotillion in Durham, the Cotton Ball in Chattanooga, TN, and the BlueGrass Ball in Lexington, KY. She is a member of the Junior League of Durham and Orange Counties and served as President in 2010-2011. She is a certified paralegal at the law firm of Glenn, Mills, Fisher, and Mahoney in Durham.

The Reverend Taylor is a graduate of William G. Enloe High School in Raleigh and received his B.A. degree from Elon University. He attended the Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, and received his Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary in New Jersey. He is a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He has served Presbyterian congregations in Mississippi, Alabama, and North Carolina, and is currently affiliated with the Presbytery of New Hope.

A May wedding is planned, at University Presbyterian Church in Chapel Hill.
