It amazes me how the media help our representatives snow us on a continuing basis. The recent bipartisan vote to extend existing tax cuts does not really add anything to our paychecks. It prevents additional funds from being withdrawn to fuel government spending. The tax cut isn't offset by spending cuts and just puts this country deeper in debt.
This move is just an election-year ploy so our representatives can point to how they're helping us live better. The reality is that we need to get better control of our elected officials by letting them know by our vote that they've fallen down on the job.
