James Moore Terry

James Moore Terry, 91, passed away peacefully on Tuesday at the Oaks at Mayview after a brave battle with cancer.

James was a Navy veteran of World War II. He retired in 1985 as an Accounting Technician at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

James is survived by his daughters, Patricia Mims and Jane Terry of Raleigh; grandchildren, Heather, Marshall and Holly Mims; niece, Sue Cammann and nephew, Frank Barefoot. His beloved wife of 53 years, Patty Whitehurst Terry, passed away in October 2001.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, February 24, 2012 at Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Mayview for the loving care shown to James.
