Plastics firm to build in Mocksville

Carolina Precision Plastics will locate a new facility in Davie County and create 140 jobs over the next three years.

The company expects to invest $5.3 million in the facility in Mocksville, about 130 miles west of Raleigh. If it meets investment and hiring goals, Carolina Precision Plastics will receive a $250,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund.

The average annual wage for the new jobs will be $39,183, plus benefits. The average wage in Davie County is $28,808.

The privately held company has manufacturing facilities in North Carolina where it employs 280 people, and in Connecticut and China. It makes products used in consumer packaging for the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries.
