Buxton/Hatteras
Inshore and on the beaches, speckled trout, croaker and sea mullet have still been consistently biting. Offshore boats reported scattered marlin, blackfin tuna, yellowfin tuna, dolphin and wahoo are biting. Cape Lookout/
Bogue Inlet

Topsail Island
On the beaches, colder weather has reduced the amount of dogfish and red flounder being caught, but they have still been reported. Speckled trout have been found on the sound side, in the rivers and in the creeks. In the waterway and in the inlet, red drum have been reported. There is no offshore report for this week. Wilmington/ Wrightsville Beach
Colder water temperatures have slowed the fishing down. On the beaches, speckled trout and red drum are few and far between. Inshore boats reported red drum and flounder are still biting. In the inlets and creeks, speckled trout, flounder and red drum are biting. The Gulf Stream is still producing some wahoo and the speckled trout and red drum are still biting in the back waters. Freshwater
Falls Lake
Winter weather has played a huge part in slowing down fishing this week, but largemouth bass are still being caught on jerkbaits in 3 to 5 feet depths and through slow rolling spinner baits in 10 to 12 feet depths. Jordan Lake
Many anglers have stayed out of the waters with cold weather in the area. Crappie remain as the only fish being caught on live minnows deep near the bridge pilings and brush piles. Kerr Lake
Largemouth bass are still being caught shallow on crankbaits. Crappie still remain close to brush piles and are being caught on minnows. Striped bass are biting shallow on large minnows. Lake Wheeler

Shearon Harris Lake
