D-I prospects in NCISAA playoffs

Five of the top 10 senior boys' basketball prospects in the state will play in Raleigh this week during the N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association boys and girls tournament. Quarterfinal games are scheduled today with the semifinals on Friday and the championships on Saturday.

North Raleigh Christian is the site of the 1A tournament and the 2A is at St. David's. Ravenscroft is the host for the 3A and for all of the championship games on Saturday.

Among the top players in the field are High Point Wesleyan Christian's Montay Brandon (Florida State), Concord First Assembly's Codi Miller-McIntyre (Wake Forest), Arden Christ School's Jerome Hairston (Towson), Wilson Greenfield's Aaron Rountree (Wake Forest) and Ravenscroft's Madison Jones (uncommitted).

1A at North Raleigh Christian

Girls

Fayetteville Trinity vs. Hickory Christian, 10 a.m.; Durham Cresset vs. Wayne Country Day, 4 p.m.; Statesville Christian vs. Hobgood, 1 p.m.; Ridgecroft vs. Oakwood School, 7 p.m.

Boys

Wilson Greenfield vs. Burlington Christian, 11:30 a.m.; North Hills Christian vs. Flora McDonald, 2:30 p.m.; Word of God vs. Trinity Christian, 5:30 p.m.; Oakwood vs. Community Christian, 8:30 p.m.

2A at St. David's

Girls

Carolina Day vs. Fayetteville Academy, 10 a.m.; Carolina Friends vs. Victory Christian, 1 p.m.; Fayetteville Christian vs. First Assembly, 4 p.m.; Cary Christian vs. Gaston Day, 7 p.m.

Boys

Davidson Day vs. Caldwell Academy, 11:30 a.m.; First Assembly vs. Northside Christian, 2:30 p.m.; Asheville Christian vs. Fayetteville Christian, 5:30 p.m.; Gaston Day vs. Victory Christian, 8:30 p.m.

3A at Ravenscroft
