WENDELL -- A 38-year-old Wendell man has been charged with a first-degree sexual offense involving an 8-year-old, according to authorities.
Thomas Tate Jr., of 22 East Maggie Court, was arrested Wednesday on a charge that dates back to December, according to his arrest warrant. Authorities believe he engaged in a sexual act with an 8-year-old on two occasions, the warrant said.
Tate is being held in the Wake County Jail under a bond of $2 million.
