A judge says he will rule this morning on whether suspended Durham District Attorney Tracey Cline will be reinstated to her elected office. Superior Court Judge Robert H. Hobgood of Franklin County issued a notice that he will read his ruling at 9:30 a.m. in a Durham courtroom.

Hobgood has presided over the rare inquiry in Durham that could lead to the permanent removal of Cline on grounds that her attacks and actions against Superior Court Judge Orlando Hudson, the chief judge in Durham, are conduct "prejudicial" to justice that brings her office into "disrepute."

Hobgood suspended Cline from office Jan. 27.
