Ko Mo Ko Mo, a Korean French restaurant, opened in November in Cary. (I missed its opening since I was out on maternity leave.) It is at the Maynard Crossing Shopping Center at 1305 NW Maynard Road.
The restaurant is the work of husband-and-wife team, chef Jae Lee and El Ryoo. Lee has worked at The Mint and the Washington Duke Inn and with Chef William D'auvray at the now-closed Fins. Ryoo was the principal at the Triangle Korean School for five years.
The menu flits from Korean to French dishes such as beef bulgogi bibimbop and sweet potato leek soup with caramelized apple for lunch. For dinner, they offer pan seared rib-eye with Bordeaux red wine sauce Medoc, rosemary potato and watercress salad and smoked pork SSam with three sides, rice and miso soup.
