No. 4 Seed

22-8 overall, 9-7 ACC

vs. N.C. State-Boston College winner, 2 p.m., Friday, WRAL, ESPN2

Starting lineup

G Jontel Evans 7.3 ppg, 3.8 apg

G Sammy Zeglinski 8.8 ppg, 2.6 apg

G Joe Harris 11.2 ppg, 3.9 rpg

F Akil Mitchell 3.9 ppg, 4.1 rpg

F Mike Scott 17.9 ppg, 8.3 rpg

Counting on a big weekend from: Sammy Zeglinski. The 6-foot-1 guard has been more "off" than "on" in an inconsistent senior season, but he has history in this tournament, and he's capable of carrying the Cavaliers to a win.

Number to know: 70. Under third-year coach Tony Bennett, the Cavs are 25-2 when they score at least 70 points and 28-37 when they don't.

Hotlanta or Notlanta?: Not. Virginia, a defense-first team, has not been the same since 7-footer Assane Sene went down with an ankle injury in mid-January. Sene was the team's best shot-blocker and, more importantly, he alleviated some of the inside pressure on All-ACC forward Mike Scott. Without Sene, or a healthy Joe Harris (broken left hand), UVa will be hard-pressed to win more than one tournament game.
