Counting on a big weekend from: Dorenzo Hudson. The Hokies guard was never really healthy this season, after missing almost all of the 2010-11 season with a foot injury. He's still Virginia Tech's best scoring option and a fifth-year senior with a ton of experience.

Number to know: 10, the number of games lost by the Hokies by five points or less, including six ACC games by three points or less.

Hotlanta or Notlanta?: Not. It has been a hard-luck season for the rebuilding Hokies. There's no reason to believe that it will suddenly turn around for them in Atlanta.
