Wolfpack senior C.J. Williams was happy - to an extent - with the team's defense against the Eagles.
"We were real good there for a while at the start, but then we let off. That's what we've got to stop doing. We do that too much. We let them get too many open shots in the second half," Williams said.
Against Virginia in today's quarterfinals, the primary defensive concern will be All-ACC forward Mike Scott, who had 18 points and five rebounds in the Cavaliers' 61-60 win against the Wolfpack on Jan. 28 in Raleigh.
"We'll talk about him a lot tonight," Williams said. "With Scott, you definitely don't want him to get off a hot start."
N.C. State's Scott Wood was sporting a bit of a beard that he said would not set well with his mother.
"I know I'm going to hear about this from her," he said. "Really, I was just too lazy to shave this week."
