Player to watch: Mike Scott, F, Virginia Scott had 18 points in Virginia's 61-60 win in Raleigh on Jan. 28 and out-played Wolfpack forward C.J. Leslie. Against Virginia in today's quarterfinals, the primary defensive concern will be the All-ACC forward, who had 18 points and five rebounds in the Cavaliers' 61-60 win against the Wolfpack on Jan. 28 in Raleigh.

Observations: N.C. State forced 19 turnovers in Thursday's win over Boston College. Virginia had only 11 in the first meeting of the season and is second in the ACC in turnover margin (plus-1.57 per game). ... Virginia guard Sammy Zeglinski made four 3-pointers against N.C. State.
