The 29th tour of modern homes is on tap April 14 in Durham's Hope Valley neighborhood.
Sponsored by Triangle Modernist Houses, the spring tour will feature a new home, one that's four years old and two renovated mid-century moderns. They are:
The Miriam and Henry Nicholson House, designed by architect Robert "Judge" Carr.
The 2008 Monica Hunter House, designed by architect Bill Waddell.
The 2011 Patel House, designed and built by architect Sanjeev Patel.
The Chute residence, a mid-century modern ranch being renovated and expanded by architect Ellen Cassilly.
Waddell, Cassilly and Patel will be at the houses to discuss details and field questions.
Advance tickets are $14.95 for the general public and $11.95 for Mod Squad members. Admission will be $20 on the day of the tour. Advance tickets can be purchased at www.trianglemodernisthouses.com/tour.htm.
Free parking will be available at St. Stephen's Church on Rugby Road. Free shuttle buses will be provided.
