Three things to watch
1. There may not be many sure bets in Las Vegas, but a Roush Fenway Racing driver winning the annual Sprint Cup Series race is one of them.
2. Jimmie Johnson could use another good performance this weekend to help continue his comeback should the 25-point penalty his team received at Daytona hold up under NASCAR's appeals process next week.
3. Two races into the season may not be a good indicator of season's long success but for Joey Logano - who's in a contract year at Joe Gibbs Racing - it'll do. A win at Las Vegas would give him an even larger payout.
Note
Logano leads final practice: Joey Logano led the way in Saturday's final practice session at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with a lap at 175.598 mph. Mark Martin was second-fastest and Kevin Harvick was third. Dale Earnhardt Jr. was fastest in Saturday's first practice session. He was 17th fastest in the final practice.
