CHAPEL HILL — For the second weekend in a row, Chapel Hill police are asking the public's help in finding who was responsible for gunshots in the night.
About 3:30 a.m. today, police were called to the Timberlyne Apartments at 200 Westminster Drive because people had heard gunshots. Officers found no one, and no injuries were reported.
March 10, police had reports that two groups of men had exchanged shots on Rosemary Street, but fled before officers arrived.
Police asked anyone with information about either incident today to call them at 919-968-2760 or Crime Stoppers at 919-942-7515. Calls to crime Stoppers are confidential and anonymous, and the caller may be eligible for a cash reward up to $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
