DURHAM — Emmy-winning actress America Ferrera is set to give a speech tonight at North Carolina Central University.

The actress is best known for her role as Betty Suarez on the ABC comedy “Ugly Betty.” Ferrera will speak at 7 p.m. the H.M. Michaux Jr. School of Education.

The event is free and open to the public.
