IT jobs openings in N.C. rise in March

Information technology job openings in North Carolina jumped 20.6 percent from February to March, according to data released Friday by the N.C. Technology Association.

“It’s encouraging to see the upward trend in tech job openings, now at their highest level in more than two years,” Brooks Raiford, president and CEO of NCTA, said in a statement.

The number of IT job postings in North Carolina totaled 5,670 in March, up from 4,700 in February and 4,840 a year ago.

Nationally, IT job postings fell 2.3 percent in March.
