DURHAM — The service for Dr. LeRoy T. Walker, chancellor emeritus of North Carolina Central University and former president of the U.S. Olympic Committee, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Duke University Chapel.

A viewing will be held the evening before, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday in the B.N. Duke Auditorium on the NCCU campus.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dr. LeRoy T. Walker Distinguished Professorship, established at NCCU by the Walker family. Contributions should be marked “Dr. LeRoy T. Walker Memorial Fund,” and mailed to the NCCU Foundation, P.O. box 19363, Durham, NC, 27707 or made online at www.nccu.edu/donation.

Donations may also be sent in Walker’s honor to the John Avery Boys & Girls Club, according to a news release posted on NCCU’s website. From staff reports
