Durham hit-and-run leaves one person in critical condition

— One person was listed in critical condition after a hit-and-run accident early Sunday morning at the intersection of Lawson and Alston avenues, police reported.

Police said that two people were taken to Duke Hospital after the 3:18 a.m. accident.

Officers were able to locate the suspect vehicle and driver a few blocks away from the accident location.

Investigators remain on the scene. No charges have been filed.
