It turns out that at least where ACC baseball is concerned, coaches arent much better at predicting winners than sports writers and fans.
The league tournament begins Wednesday in Greensboros NewBridge Bank Park with Florida State the favorite to win the championship on Sunday.
But when the leagues 12 coaches picked the regular season on Jan. 27, the Seminoles werent even seen as the top team in the Atlantic Division.
The coaches correctly saw North Carolina as the team to beat in the Coastal, but Clemson was the Atlantic favorite. The Tigers finished third, behind Florida State and N.C. State.
