Oregon Inlet
Inshore, speckled trout, flounder, bluefish and Spanish mackerel are biting. Nearshore, boats are still reeling in limits of cobia, tilefish, sea bass and albacore. Offshore boats are reporting citation wahoo, with limits of gaffer dolphin and yellowfin tuna. A bigeye tuna was reported at 150 pounds. Three blue marlin were caught and released. Buxton/Hatteras
Inshore, boats are still reporting large amounts of sea mullet and bluefish, along with good catches of Spanish, cobia, pompano, spot, croaker and puppy drum. Offshore, anglers are reporting large catches of dolphin, yellowfin tuna and wahoo. Blue marlin and sailfish have also been caught on a catch-and-release basis. Ocracoke/Portsmouth
Nearshore, bluefish, sea mullet and scattered puppy drum are biting. Inshore, boats are reporting cobia, bluefish, grey trout, sea mullet, Spanish and speckled trout are biting. Bogue Inlet
Inshore, boats reported sea mullet, Spanish, speckled trout and bluefish being caught in large amounts. Cobia, sea mullet and red drum are still biting in the sound and nearshore. Topsail Island

Wilmington/ Wrightsville Beach
Bluefish, flounder, Spanish and sea mullet are being caught nearshore and along the beaches. Inshore, bluefish, cobia, flounder and speckled trout are biting. Falls Lake
Largemouth bass are moving to deep waters and are biting on crank baits and Carolina rigs with 10-inch worms. Crappie continue to be caught around the bridge pilings, and are biting on minnows at deep depths. Catfish are biting at medium depths. Water level: normal 251.5, Wednesday 253.01, full pool 264.8. Jordan Lake
Largemouth bass are biting on topwater baits and jigs near beds. Crappie are being caught on minnows near brush piles. Catfish are biting on chicken livers and cut baits at medium to deep depths. Kerr Lake
Anglers reported largemouth bass are biting on jigs, deep-diving crankbaits and spinner baits at deep depths. Striped bass are starting to pick up and are biting at night on topwater baits. Small crappie are still being caught on jigs and minnows at deeper depths near docks, bridge pilings and brush piles. Catfish are biting at toward the rivers on cut baits and live baits. Lake Wheeler

Shearon Harris Lake
