RALEIGH — Police on Saturday afternoon detained a woman who they think was driving a vehicle that struck a cyclist in North Raleigh earlier in the afternoon.
The cyclist, Jason Adam Epstein, was taken to the hospital with injuries police described as not life-threatening, and was listed in stable condition.
Raleigh police identified the driver as Linda Thomas Banks of 401 Sawmill Road in Raleigh.
The accident occurred in the 9700 block of Falls of Neuse Road.
Police detained the suspected driver at a residence where the vehicle was parked, Capt. Andy Murr said. Police credited members of the public with helping them find the suspected driver.
