RALEIGH — State troopers arrested a man early Sunday on two felony charges, driving while impaired and driving with a revoked license, all involving a hit-and-run accident on Fanny Brown Road earlier this month.
Lawrence Andrew Hyde, 39, of 8109 Stillbreeze Drive in Raleigh was arrested shortly after midnight. He was wanted on charges of inflicting serious injury by vehicle and hit and run, both felonies, in a June 2 accident that injured Norval J. Vanhouten III, according to an arrest warrant filed by troopers.
Hyde also was served with warrants charging he had failed to appear in court three times in September, October and November to answer charges of driving with a revoked license and operating a vehicle with no insurance. In those cases, his address was listed as 5901 Periwinkle Court in Raleigh.
Hydes total bail was set at $282,000, and he was held in the Wake County Jail.
