The Carolina Hurricanes are scheduled to play eight preseason games, beginning with a Sept. 26 road game against the Columbus Blue Jackets, it was announced Tuesday.
The Canes will play the first five games in a five-day span. After Columbus will come a Sept. 27 game against Tampa Bay in Orlando; then the first home game, Sept. 28 against Nashville. They will go to Nashville the next day, then end the five-game run with a 2 p.m. game against Tampa Bay on Sept. 30 at PNC Arena.
Carolina will face the Montreal Canadiens at the Colisee Pepsi in Quebec City, Que., on Oct. 2, then face the Canadiens again at the Bell Centre on Oct. 3.
The Canes close the preseason schedule at PNC Arena on Oct. 5 against the Blue Jackets.
