Police charge driver in death of worker at Raleigh BP

— A man doing work involving an underground well at convenience store was struck and killed by a vehicle this afternoon, according to Raleigh police.

Randy L. Wilson, 50, was working at the BP gas station and convenience store, located at 4000 New Bern Ave., when he was killed.

The driver, Deborah J. Dunkley, 52, left the scene and was later located by police. She has been charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle and unsafe movement.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
