Crash closes parts of Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh

— Police asked motorists to avoid Glenwood Avenue in the area of the 5100 block, near Morehead and Fairhill drives and after an accident brought down power lines across the entire road.

Police closed Glenwood between Creedmoor Road and Fairhill Drive, turning drivers back the way they came.

It was not immediately known if there were any injuries in the crash or how many vehicles were involved.

Progress Energy did not immediately report any power outages.

The 5100 block of Glenwood is between Creedmoor and Pleasant Valley roads.
