A motorcyclist traveling north on Interstate 95 Saturday evening was killed after he lost control of his motorcycle, according to State Highway Patrol.
Troopers said Hubert Alford, 52, of Wendell, ran off the road, lost control of his motorcycle, and overturned, one mile south of Smithfield around 7 p.m. He then flew off of the motorcycle.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash. Troopers do not suspect alcohol was a factor.
