SANFORD — At least two people suffered injuries Tuesday following an explosion at an oil plant in Sanford, fire officials reported.
The explosion occurred late Tuesday morning at Noble Oil Services, 5617 Clyde Rhyne Drive, authorities reported.
Firefighters with the Northview Rural Fire Department responded to the incident.
Fire officials have not yet disclosed the cause of the explosion or the severity of the injuries.
A spokeswoman with the company said just before 1 p.m. that the incident was under control.
The companys president, Jim Noble, was expected to release a statement about the explosion later Tuesday, the spokeswoman reported.
