Raleigh’s Ray Price Harley Davidson is hosting a wings cook-off Saturday morning. For a $5 donation, the public can enjoy all-you-can-eat wings.
The cooking starts at 9 a.m. Live music by Spaceship Days with Adam Lee Decker starts at 11 a.m. The wings will be served and judged at noon. Proceeds will be donated to Duke Children’s Miracle Network. The event also will include a blood drive for Rex Blood Services.

Portuguese wine dinner at Weathervane
The Weathervane restaurant at A Southern Season in Chapel Hill is offering a four-course Portuguese wine dinner with award-winning Chapel Hill cookbook author Jean Anderson.
The July 24 dinner will feature recipes from Anderson’s “The Food of Portugal.”
The menu includes olive-sautéed almonds; mussels in a cataplana (a traditional seafood dish); gazpacho; roast pork loin with sauteed spring greens and rice; and for dessert, caramelized flan with coffee. Each course will be matched with Portuguese wines. The cost is $55. Dinner starts at 7 p.m.
